Let's make our community a better place!
The Jefferson Historical
Society & Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3. Our focus is on preserving the history of Jefferson. Currently, we are working with the City of Jefferson, the Landmark Advisory Commission and the Conser family to repair and restore the community's oldest building, the Conser House. While we would love the opportunity to house our museum in this unique building, we are looking at what might be the best fit for our community. With the help of volunteers, we organize fundraisers and hold exciting community-building events that support the pioneer history of Jefferson.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We appreciate and thank you for monetary or physical donations to the Jefferson Historical Society & Museum. We are dedicated to the preservation of our historic items and structures as an important part of our city's foundational past which contributes to our identity, livability, sense of place and a strong future.

Do you have some special items that have some type of significance to Jefferson or the surrounding area? Things like high school yearbooks or other Jefferson schools memorabilia. Even items from different businesses that are no longer operating would be treasured in our museum. Items can either be on loan or donations, its up to you to decide. We do have some guidelines as far as what can and can't be taken, so if you have an item you are thinking about loaning or donating please email us so we can discuss it further.
