Seeking an intimate location for your wedding? Nancy’s Parlor in the historic Conser
House features an open room with seating for up to 49 guests. The walls have unique
faux paint dating to the late 1930s and the original fireplace is now outfitted with gas
logs for additional ambiance. Updated heating and cooling are also benefits.
Outdoors is a gazebo with well-maintained lawn and landscaping. Power for a sound
system is available. This provides a charming venue for an outdoor wedding.
While waiting for the ceremony to begin, guests may wander through the adjoining
museum and view some of Jefferson’s interesting history.
For a reception, the Greater Jefferson Community Center, located across the street, can
be rented. Tables and chairs along with the use of the kitchen with plates, cutlery, and
linens are available there.
Jacob Conser, a co-founder of Jefferson, and his wife, Nancy Gunsaules, moved to this
location on the banks of the Santiam River in 1851. In 1854, they constructed this house
as a family home. Through the years it served as a boarding house, city hall, and the
local library. It is now the Conser House Museum operated by Jefferson Historical
Society & Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
